P&ID Drafter

Position Overview: A skilled and detail-oriented Piping & Instrumentation Diagram (P&ID) Drafter. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate P&ID drawings that are essential for the design, construction, and operation of industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and update P&ID drawings based on project specifications and engineering data.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other designers to ensure accurate and timely completion of P&ID drawings.
• Interpret and incorporate changes from engineering sketches, redlines, and markups into P&ID drawings.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and company procedures.
• Maintain organized records of all P&ID drawings and related documentation.
• Assist in the development and maintenance of P&ID drafting standards and best practices.
• Participate in internal project meetings and provide technical support as needed.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

• Associate degree or technical diploma in drafting, engineering technology, or a related field.
• Experience in P&ID drafting, preferably in the heavy industrial sectors is preferred.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, or other relevant CAD software.
• Understanding of P&ID symbols, conventions, and industry standards.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with 3D modeling software such as Plant 3D or SmartPlant P&ID.
• Knowledge of process engineering and instrumentation.
• Familiarity with industry codes and standards (e.g., ASME, ISA).

Qualifications Per Job Level:

Salary : $40,000 - $70,000
