We Are Hiring: Architectural QC Inspector
Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Architectural QC Inspector for a state-of-the-art semiconductor FAB construction project in Taylor, TX. Working under the direction of the Project Quality Manager (PQM) and QC Engineer, you will be responsible for Welder Qualification verification, welding inspection, shop inspection, and material inspection.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with other members of the project team, Supply Partners, and Contractors to develop the data required to accurately construct and report.
Key Roles & Responsibilities
QA/QC Records
- Maintain quality records as required by the quality management system and review records from time to time for completeness.
- Assist the PQM in the maintenance of quality records relating to traceability (where required) of materials incorporated into the works.
Inspection and Test Control
- Manage Material Inspections with Supply Partners and Contractors' designated QC personnel.
- Assist with work inspection and Testing alongside the Construction team and Supply Partners.
Nonconformities
- Report non-conformities to the project team, Supply Partners, and Contractors.
Monitoring
- Conduct in-progress site work monitoring and field inspection processes.
- Assist the PQM in implementing and monitoring the issuance of NCRs, Punch lists, or Observation Requests as appropriate, and follow-up with concerned parties for closure.
Reporting & Coordination
- Report Quality control results and non-conformities to the Project team.
- Coordinate with the Project team, Supply Partners, and Contractors to implement the Quality control and mitigation plan.
Special Processes
- Take charge of documentation and management of Project Special Processes (e.g., Welder Qualification, etc.).
Control of IMTE
- Control and monitor under the guidance of the PQM to ensure effective management and control of IMTE (Inspection, Measuring, and Test Equipment).
Material Control
- Review Material submittals submitted by Supply Partners and Contractors to ensure strict compliance with specifications and client requirements.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Education: Associate degree in Engineering OR an established ICC Commercial Building Inspector Career Path.
- Certifications: AWS CWI (Certified Welder Inspector) certificate OR ICC certification.
- Experience Level: Senior Building Inspector level with a minimum of 8 total years of experience, specifically including: 1) Minimum 3 years of experience in construction. 2) Minimum 5 years in an ICC Commercial Building Inspector Career path.
- Core Familiarity & Skills: 1) Proficient with the Microsoft Office suite of programs. 2) Deeply familiar with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and Quality Control Procedures. 3) Expert knowledge of the Work/Material inspection process and official record-keeping. 4) Strong ability to review material submittals and Drawings for inspection purposes. 5) Well-versed in Local and City Inspection (Rough/Final Inspection) processes. 6) Comprehensive understanding of various construction methods and materials.
