What are the responsibilities and job description for the Swatch Coordinator position at Samson Marketing?
This position will support business development and growth by providing necessary marketing materials to the marketing team. You will be the direct liaison for the showroom and sales reps who will request fabric swatches, memo cards, nail boards and finish samples. Our facility is based in Conover, North Carolina with our showroom being based in High Point, NC.
DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
- Swatch fulfillment & shipment
- Monitoring of inventory levels for swatches & supplies
- Communicates directly with the swatch maker for updates on orders & needs
- Communicates with Swatchdog for label creation
- Organize and maintain swatch inventory
- Create list for fabric pulling & finishing to supply orders for required yardage to create samples, order replacement sets and individual swatches for shelf stock inventory
- Orders hangers and labels as needed
- Package materials for shipping
- Clerical work & documentation of product receipt
- Maintains mailing database, making all necessary additions, deletions, and updates from Sales (for the dealer base) and Marketing
- Special projects as assigned
ANNUAL MARKET DUTIES:
- Maintain showroom swatch wall inventories
- Installation of new fabric swatches at the showroom
- Handle swatch sets being transferred to the showroom
- Organize, update, and maintain showroom swatch areas for April and October markets, including SwatchDog scanning of their display for updated accuracy
- Gathers necessary information and create packets to be included in market update mailings to all accounts on a semi-annual basis after each Market, Spring and Fall
EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS, AND SKILLS
- Minimum High School diploma required, along with 1-3 years of swatch or furniture related experience is desirable
- Basic computer knowledge, with intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, and Access)
- Excellent Customer Service & communication skills
- General Knowledge of colors & textiles
- Time management, self-motivation, and organization skills
- Strong focus on details
- Ability to lift & move heavy/large boxes as needed
- Familiarity with FedEx & UPS Shipping Manager software needed
- Luxury Furniture brand knowledge, Interior Design or Visual Merchandising experience is a plus
