Job Overview
We are seeking an energetic and experienced Bar Manager to lead our team with enthusiasm and professionalism. Sam's Place is a Sports Bar and Event Venue in Ames, Iowa. We host Live Music, Stand-Up Comedy, Salsa Dancing, Pool Tournaments, and Private Parties. The Bar Manager will oversee day-to-day operations and serve as the primary point of contact for our staff.
We are looking for a leader who communicates well, remains professional under pressure, and can create a positive work environment while holding employees accountable.
Compensation & Benefits
- $30,000-35,000 Base Salary
- Plus Tips when bartending
- 30-35 Hours Per Week
- 10 Days PTO
- 5 Days Sick Leave
- Performance-based salary and bonus opportunities based on sales growth and overall performance
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily bar operations including, team objectives, events, bar prep, drink service, and customer interactions to ensure a vibrant and efficient environment.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for staff.
- Create and manage employee schedules.
- Order and manage liquor & beer Inventory.
- Train and onboard new employees aligned with our hospitality standards.
- Improve organization and efficiency behind the bar.
- Assist with day-to-day operations and problem solving.
