What are the responsibilities and job description for the Director of Accountability and Student Records position at Sampson County Schools?
Terms of employment: Full-time, 12-months, Exempt
Location: Central Office
Reports to: Director of Elementary Education
Supervises: Administrative Assistant, SIS Coordinator
Responsibilities
- Attend monthly regional meetings and trainings to bring back guidance to facilitate testing in the district. Receive and disseminate information daily/weekly from the state.
- Oversee the following state tests: WIDA Screener, Check-ins x 3 for Elementary and Middle, Check-ins x2 for Math 1 Middle and High, BOG, CDM (if needed), ACT WorkKeys twice a year, Fall and Spring High School EOC testing, EOG testing Spring (Math, ELA and Science 3-8), ACCESS and Alternate ACCESS testing, PreACT 10th Grade, ACT 11th Grade, NC Extend 1, CCRAA Grade 10, CCRAA Grade 11, Portfolio, RTA x3 (end-of-year, Summer, Fall), Summer School testing as needed
- Prepare and conduct district level trainings with all school test coordinators
- Send reminders and maintain compliance with state testing dates and windows
- Field questions concerning testing from our test coordinators and principals
- Oversee the SCS testing plan and ensure all schools have a plan in place for each test
- Analyze and distribute test results to schools
- Receive testing shipments and distribute to schools for paper testing; count and securely distribute and collect materials that are securely held and then destroyed
- Prepare reports and score distributions for superintendent and directors
- Oversee NC Testing
- Assist in securing NC Test accounts for employees
- Manage test days
- Input testing irregularities into OTISS
- Conduct investigations and reports when needed
- Review errors with the Collection Status Viewer
- Ensure EC, LEP and 504 data input is correct and valid
- Assist K-3 with reporting and RTA reports submission
- Assist Testing Coordinators and data managers in CGR collection
- Support principals and directors by pulling data files and formatting information to share with teachers and staff
- Support Infinite Campus (IC) Coordinator and assist with issues that involve accountability and IC data feed
- Oversee the EVAAS process and support principals with roster verifications and data questions
- Support ACCESS testing by training ESL staff and testing staff for district-wide testing
- Assist families with guardianships when the legal guardian is not present at enrollment; Grant guardianship as the designee for the Superintendent
- Assist counselors and schools with questions regarding enrollment
- Oversee the archived transcript process
- Process and oversee the reassignment of all out-of-district students in SCS
Education, Training and Experience
- NC School Administration License
- Experience as an assistant principal/school testing coordinator
- Knowledge of Infinite Campus
