As a Service Technician I, you’ll play an important role in keeping material handling equipment operating at peak performance. Whether you're working in the shop or at a customer site, your technical skills, attention to safety, and dedication to quality service will help customers stay productive and keep their operations moving forward.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, maintain, and repair forklifts and other material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, drivetrains, steering, brakes, and lifting systems.
- Perform inspections, preventive maintenance, component rebuilds, and repairs to ensure equipment meets manufacturer specifications and safety standards.
- Follow established safety procedures, maintain a clean and organized work environment, and actively support our Safety-First culture.
- Complete service documentation accurately, maintain necessary parts and supplies, and participate in technical training and certification programs.
- High school diploma or GED, along with at least 1 year of experience in forklift repair, heavy equipment, automotive, diesel, or a related mechanical field.
- Strong mechanical aptitude, troubleshooting ability, and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to work in a shop environment, including lifting up to 75 pounds and performing physically active work.
- Trade school training, Hyster-Yale certifications, or related technical certifications are a plus.
