As a Field Service Technician II (Heavy Line), you’ll be the trusted expert customers rely on to keep their material handling equipment running safely and reliably. Your work will prevent downtime, protect people, and keep operations moving—all while representing Briggs with professionalism and pride.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, repair, and rebuild heavy material handling equipment, including engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, brakes, steering, and drive systems—both in the field and in the shop.
- Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and failure analysis to ensure equipment meets manufacturer and safety standards.
- Work safely every day by following Briggs, OSHA, DOT, and customer safety requirements—and helping lead a Safety-First culture.
- Document work accurately, manage parts and tools, and maintain a clean, safe company service vehicle.
- 3 years of experience repairing industrial or material handling equipment, with strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- High school diploma or GED (trade school, certifications, welding/fabrication experience a plus).
- Solid communication and customer service skills—you represent Briggs wherever you go.
- A valid driver’s license, your own tools, and the ability to work on-call and travel daily to customer sites.
