Job Summary The Construction Administrative Assistant provides administrative and clerical support to the Fiber Department at Sammons Construction. This role is responsible for maintaining organized records, managing documentation, and supporting daily office operations to ensure projects run efficiently. The ideal candidate is highly organized, computer-literate, and comfortable working in a fast paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and organize electronic and physical filing systems for fiber construction projects
- Enter, update, and track project data in company systems and spreadsheets
- Prepare, scan, and file permits, contracts, invoices, and project documentation
- Support project managers and field supervisors with administrative tasks
- Manage emails, phone calls, and internal communications related to fiber projects
- Track work orders, job packets, and completion documentation
- Assist with reporting, document compliance, and audit preparation
- Ensure accuracy and confidentiality of all records and files
- High school diploma or equivalent (associate degree preferred)
- 1–3 years of administrative experience, preferably in construction or utilities
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Experience with document management and electronic filing systems
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience in fiber, telecom, or construction environments
