Samet is seeking a BIM Specialist to support our Virtual Design & Construction team across multiple geographic regions. In this role, you will be responsible for BIM production and coordination-related activities that support full service construction for a range of construction vertical markets including commercial/industrial/manufacturing, education/institutional, and healthcare. Your role will include management responsibilities for smaller BIM coordination projects as well as BIM production support for larger, more complex work. In this role, you will:
- Create project-related BIM content elements and models, as well as produce drawings in support of BIM project goals and VDC strategic goals
- Develop production BIM models and renderings in compliance with corporate standards and project needs to support field construction teams
- Manage routine BIM coordination projects and processes by engaging with internal and external customers; support implementation of BIM standards
- Support marketing and project acquisition efforts with BIM and rendering services; develop finished presentation materials
- Manipulate files and models, collect and process data into models, plans and renderings
- Provide coordinated BIM services and support across multiple regional offices as key member of our VDC team
As a strong candidate, you are proficient in a range of office and BIM production software packages and data collection equipment, including MS Office, REVIT, AutoDesk products, Revizto, Navisworks, SketchUp, laser scanning and post-processing, graphics packages and presentation graphics tools.
Successful performance is demonstrated by managing assigned production responsibilities and effective communications to meet or exceed team goals and priorities, including milestone dates and client expectations. This position is located in our Charlotte, NC office.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in BIM model development and production, 3-D drafting and design
- S. in Engineering, Architectural or Construction Technology or related degree
- Demonstrated experience in modelling and coordination of multiple models/trades
- Strong computer, technical and communication skills (verbal and writing) required
