Samet is currently recruiting for a Regional Safety Manager in the Charlotte, NC area; this Manager will cover the Charlotte territory. The Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring the safety and health of all workers, trade partners, clients, and general public on Samet job sites located in the region. This role administers the project Site Safety and Incident Prevention Program, must be able to work well with a diverse work force, and provide effective safety direction and leadership at the project level.
**Experience working on Healthcare projects is a plus! Bilingual preferred**
The Safety Manager will:
- Provide clear safety leadership on assigned job sites within region.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of OSHA regulations.
- Train Associates and subcontractors on safety-related topics.
- Conduct safety orientations with trade partners and subcontractors.
- Conduct safety meetings and enforce safety standards.
- Conduct incident, accident, and near miss investigations.
- Receive, review, file and document safety submittals.
- Consult with subcontractors when requested.
- Serve as a technical resource for the project team
Safety Manager Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 Hour and/or 500 Hour Construction Safety Training Certification
- Minimum of 5 years' experience working in a safety role.
- Prior experience in Construction is required.
- Previous experience in the general construction industry.
- Fluent in both English and Spanish (preferred not required)
- Completed CPR and First Aid training (preferred but not required)
