Help Diagnose an Electrical Issue at a Local Nonprofit

Founded in 1974, Samaritan Center is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization serving Central Texas. Samaritan Center’s philosophy is based on a holistic belief that there is a close relationship between the mind, body, spirit and community. This philosophy is the foundation of our multidisciplinary team approach to mental health. We provide professional counseling, integrative medicine, peer support, and wellness education that are accessible and affordable for all. Our Hope for Heroes program serves veterans and military families facing service-related trauma and stress. Services are free for veterans and members of military families, and very low-cost for low-income families. Most insurance is also accepted.

The Samaritan Center, a local nonprofit organization, is seeking a licensed electrician or someone with experience in commercial electrical systems to help us assess a potential electrical issue in our building.

We have two recessed ceiling lights that are no longer working, even after replacing the bulbs. We're hoping a volunteer with electrical experience can help us determine whether the issue is with the fixtures, wiring, ballast, switch, breaker, or another electrical component.

We're looking for someone who can

• Inspect the affected light fixtures.
• Diagnose the cause of the issue.
• Recommend the most practical next steps.
• Provide a no-cost estimate or advice for repairs, if possible.
  
  

As a nonprofit, we operate with limited resources, so any donated time or expertise would make a meaningful difference. While we would certainly appreciate any additional assistance with repairs, our immediate need is someone who can diagnose the problem and help us understand what needs to be done.
