Social Media Marketing Intern

Conceptualize, direct, and create strong brand visuals for an independent fine jewelry company. Elevate the digital presence of our social media platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok). Conduct market research and brand outreach, identifying current and upcoming trends and collaborations. Strategize ways to incorporate the company’s aesthetic into content, enhancing brand awareness, increasing audience engagement, and driving sales. Collaborate with the Visual Team, Marketing Team, and CEO to organize video content and brand marketing strategies.


Internship Guidelines

  • This is an unpaid internship focused on skill-building and hands-on experience with social media marketing
  • Tentative Start Date: September 15, 2025
  • Tentative End Date: December 19th, 2025
  • Nature of Employment: Part-Time Internship, Unpaid
  • Hours/Week: 10-15
  • Hybrid Work Environment: Onsite 1 day a week and Remote Zoom Meeting 1 day a week
  • Location: New York City, NY


Tasks/Learning Objectives

  1. Style Forecasting: Understanding and identifying current and upcoming trends
  2. Social Media Visual Editing: Knowledge to edit videos on TikTok and Instagram
  3. Brand Messaging: Capability to collaborate with social media (Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok, and Pinterest) to create a consistent brand image through brand messaging, calendar planning, and by creating engaging content
  4. Production: Produce still and animated content for social media management and provide on-set support during campaign photo and video shoots
  5. Writing: Write and edit copy and blog posts
  6. Team Collaboration: Work with the Social Media team to develop engaging in-house content 
  7. Visual Management: Develop Moodboards individually and with team
  8. Data Analysis: Analyze company statistics to better understand where company stands and must progress towards

  1. Digital marketing strategies
  2. How to use social media and ad analytics 
  3. How to use video editing software and social media platforms; of social media management tools (Meta Ads, etc.)
  4. Content trends and management

  4. Research Skills: Conduct research on social media trends, algorithm changes, and ideas for content creation
  5. Social Media/Ad Analytics: Analyze consumer engagement through social media platforms
  6. Negotiations: Reach consensus to achieve desired goals

  8. Active Listener: Fully digest others’ ideas and respond with empathy
  9. Organization: Calendar management, goal setting, time blocking, task estimation
  10. Communication Skills: Stay updated with colleagues on individual progress, team progress, and delegation of tasks

Work Environment/Physical Demands

  • Working in a hybrid office environment
  • One day a week in the office (day TBD and based on interns’ schedules)
  • One Zoom meeting per week (time/day TBD and based on interns’ schedules)
  • Able to sit and perform computer works for prolonged periods
  • Minimal Physical Demands (Able to lift small items up to 20 lbs)


Required Education

  • High School Diploma 
  • Working towards a college degree 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong interest in the fashion industry and jewelry 
  • Prior experience in social media management or video editing/production
  • Prior experience in social media analytic tools (including Meta Ads)
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Capcut (or an application equivalent), Canva, etc.
  • Ability to develop monthly social media strategies and campaign plans
  • Proficient in Instagram, LinkedIn, Tiktok, and other social media platforms
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite and Google Suite 
  • Strong writing skills with the ability to produce clear, concise, and professional content
