Role Description The Director of Finance is a full-time, on-site role based in Matthews, NC, responsible for overseeing all financial functions for Sam’s Xpress® Car Wash, LLC. This role manages financial planning and budgeting processes, prepares and reviews financial statements, and ensures timely and accurate financial reporting to support strategic decision-making. The Director of Finance monitors cash flow, analyzes financial performance across multiple locations, and identifies opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing and maintaining internal controls, supporting audits and compliance requirements, collaborating with leadership on growth initiatives, and providing clear financial insights and recommendations. The role also involves leading and mentoring finance team members, implementing best practices, and partnering with other departments to align financial goals with business objectives.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in Finance, with experience in corporate or multi-location business environments.
- Proficiency in Financial Planning and budgeting, including forecasting and long-term financial strategy.
- Hands-on experience preparing and reviewing Financial Statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Expertise in Financial Reporting, including management reports, dashboards, and presentations for leadership.
- Advanced Analytical Skills to interpret financial data, identify trends, and support data-driven decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; CPA, CFA, or MBA is a plus.
- Experience with accounting and ERP systems, financial modeling tools, and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams, with strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Knowledge of internal controls, audit processes, and compliance with relevant financial regulations.
- Ability to work on-site in Matthews, NC and partner effectively with operations and executive leadership.
