Bachelor's degree in a related field. Four years of relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field. Experience in Higher Education is desirable. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position
Performs advanced and complex administrative support duties for the Faculty Records and Reporting area within the Office of the Provost.
Primary Responsibilities
Oversees graduate teaching assistant hiring for Academic Affairs division. Assists in the development of operational policies. Interprets policies and explains procedures relating to activities performed in the Faculty Records and Reporting area within the Office of the Provost. Prepares reports and maintains adequate records. Handles routine and special correspondence. Performs specialized tasks requiring a high level of skill in the preparation of reports. Assists in compiling statistical data and preparing various written summaries concerning divisional activities. Acts as liaison between administrators and staff in handling of matters which may involve policy decisions. Processes faculty paperwork for hiring, reappointments, and other payroll paperwork. Processes faculty workload for colleges. Assists with tracking signed and unsigned faculty contracts. Reviews internal procedures and recommends needed changes. Responsible for large college workload reporting, employment processing, and assists with workload training. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requires detailed knowledge of university infrastructure, policies, and procedures. Requires thorough knowledge of office systems. Must have the ability to solve operational problems and make suggestions for process improvement.
