Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems efficiently to process retail sales transactions accurately and quickly
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering questions, and guiding product selections
- Handle cash register operations including cash handling, cash drawer management, and basic math calculations for transactions
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing merchandise, and maintaining attractive displays through merchandising efforts
- Maintain phone etiquette when communicating with customers or vendors over the phone
- Support inventory management by participating in stock replenishment and inventory counts as needed
Experience
- Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a willingness to learn
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers, including bilingual abilities being a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math for accurate cash handling
- Demonstrated ability to provide excellent customer service in fast-paced environments
- Supervising experience is a bonus for those interested in growth opportunities within the team
- Knowledge of retail store product knowledge, merchandising techniques, and phone etiquette will help you excel in this role
