Responsibilities
- Prepare and assemble a variety of fresh sandwiches, wraps, and other food items according to established recipes and quality standards
- Brew and serve a wide range of coffee beverages, ensuring consistency and excellence in every cup
- Operate POS systems such as Toast POS
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Provide friendly, attentive customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and offering product recommendations
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure prompt service and accurate order fulfillment
- Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including basic math calculations for transactions and change
Qualifications
- Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is highly preferred
- Experience in food handling, food preparation, or food service environments is advantageous
- Familiarity with POS systems
- Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently during peak hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a positive attitude and clear communication abilities
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced bagel shop
