Job Overview
We are seeking a Morning Prep/Baker to join our growing bagel shop! We are seeking someone with a passion to start their day early and a willingness to learn.
Duties
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods.
- Package baked items efficiently for display or delivery, maintaining freshness and presentation quality
- Assist in food production tasks such as measuring ingredients and assembling baked goods
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely preparation of all baked and prepped products for service or sale
Skills
- Experience in food preparation and/or baking
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques
- Excellent knife skills for precise cutting and prep work
- Ability to operate kitchen equipment such as mixers, ovens, and pastry tools safely and efficiently
- Customer service orientation with a friendly attitude toward team members
- Proven experience in the food industry or restaurant environment is highly desirable
