Basic requirements for the Event Server position include following direction from Event Manager to perform duties as assigned in accordance with Salthouse standards, in order to provide guests with a successful and impressive event execution. Qualified event servers will understand the concept of practicing and maintaining a warm, friendly, fun and professional attitude as well as the importance of interacting positively with guests at all times and providing genuinely connected service. This is a part-time hourly position (non-exempt).

Duties include:

• Setting up different types of events, making adjustments as needed, as stated on Banquet Event Orders

• Performing various styles of service: buffet, plated, station, cocktail reception, etc.

• Breaking down and cleaning all areas worked based on company and venues standards

• Maintaining high standards of safety and cleanliness

• Loading/unloading event equipment and moving it into place

• Adhering to grooming and appearance standards set within the Employee Handbook & New Hire Packet.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)

• 2 years experience in serving or banquet service (preferred)

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for long periods of time

• Frequently moves equipment onsite up to 40 pounds

• Occasionally must work in outdoor weather conditions

• Reliable transportation is a must due to events being throughout the Charleston area

• Professional appearance with good communication skills

• Dedicated, trustworthy, reliable

• Consistent positive attitude and good performance
