What are the responsibilities and job description for the Spa Operations Manager position at Salternative Spa?
Greetings! We are Salternative Spa, a holistic wellness center in Geneva!
We have one of the best general managers in the business (maybe the actual best ;) ) and we are looking to hire a SUPER detail oriented operations manager with strong organization and communication skills to manage our spa parties and day to day operations and communications under our general manager!
Are you a proactive and highly COMMUNICATIVE professional and dependable team player and emerging leader with a positive, joyous and outgoing personality?! Can you identify issues ahead of time and provide the necessary preparation and communication to make sure the guests and spa staff have ease during the busiest times? If so, we want you on our team!
WEEKEND AVAILABILITY IS REQUIRED (not every day, every weekend but a full shift at least one weekend day each week or one weekend on, one off).
Once trained, pay is $20 to start and will continually increase over the next year (settling around $25/hour within 6-8 months depending on how quickly you excel). Before you are working shifts on your own, we offer a training rate of $18/hour (this will be for home study and shadow shifts).
We are looking for someone who is driven and self-motivated (who doesn't need micro-managing)! We will accelerate your career with us as you help us excel as a team and company!
We have a few main criteria for what would make you a great fit with our amazing (and I mean that- we are awesome together :) ) team:
- you smile A LOT (we have fun together- we work FAST but we enjoy each other and smile while we are hustling around to keep it a desirable work environment)
- you are passionate about taking care of people (our guests need your love and "yes, we can do that for you!" attitude)
- you are a solutions oriented, leadership style person and can figure things out most of the time just fixing the issue rather than complaining about it or passing it on to leadership
- you encourage others to see things in a positive way, encouraging teamwork, creativity and joy amongst those around you
- you thrive in a busy environment always anticipating the next step and feel good when things are overly prepared for your team making their days easier
- you take pride in a VERY CLEAN and functional environment for your guests as that is a sign of your own professionalism and care and you don't mind getting dirty to make sure the space looks impeccably clean
- you can communicate regularly and clearly with the executive team and staff, remaining positive and creating a bridge between the staff and the executive team as an "all of us in this together" vs. an "us" vs. them" mentality
These are all aspects we will be monitoring as you grow and as soon as you demonstrate the ability to uphold these standards, you will be promoted...again and again as earned!
Computer system familiarity and comfort is a must. Ability to work with Microsoft office also a big bonus. We are a professional organization with systems in place to keep things running smoothly and you'll be helping us keep everything on track.
The day to day job includes the ability to:
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients via phone and email as you book appointments and make adjustments to the schedules as necessary including planning and organization many spa parties
- Clean the space regularly and thoroughly while communicating with the team so all team members share in the cleaning responsibilities
- Handle and resolve customer complaints or issues with empathy and patience upholding our commitments to client care and business health
- Continually look for ways to improve service and customer experience as well as sales while looking for ways to help the company remain efficient in its spending
- Keep an eye on inventory and help with maintaining the same (running to the store to grab something, if needed)
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals who are passionate about providing exceptional customer service, have strong communication and motivational skills and want to grow in management of a business focused on wellness and care. If you are looking for a rewarding career where you can make a positive impact on customers' experiences, we encourage you to apply today!
