Our client, a global infrastructure technology organization is seeking a Principal Product Manager to lead strategy and execution for a portfolio of next-generation routing platforms supporting service provider, enterprise, and cloud-scale environments. This role sits within a team responsible for high-performance access, aggregation, and edge routing solutions powering modern WAN architectures and AI-driven network infrastructure.
Responsibilities:
- Define roadmap and product strategy across access, aggregation, edge services, peering, and data-center interconnect routing platforms.
- Shape next-generation routing hardware and optical interface requirements.
- Translate customer and market insights into MRDs and platform investment priorities.
- Partner closely with engineering on feasibility, architecture direction, and delivery execution.
- Support field enablement and roadmap positioning with customers and partners.
- Optimize product configuration mix, pricing strategy, and lifecycle profitability.
- Contribute to WAN innovation supporting AI training and inference network deployments.
Requirements & Qualifications:
Strong experience with carrier-grade routing technologies including:
- BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, PCEP
- MPLS, SR-MPLS, SRv6, RSVP-TE
- L2VPN / L3VPN / VXLAN / Ethernet services.
- Streaming telemetry, Netconf, OpenConfig, gRPC
- IPSEC, MACSEC, RPKI
Additional strengths:
- Experience managing hardware platform portfolios.
- Ownership of complex NPI cycles.
- Ability to influence engineering and GTM stakeholders.
- Strong commercial and lifecycle strategy experience.
- Background working with service providers, cloud operators, or large enterprises.
Preferred:
- 10 years product management or equivalent routing infrastructure experience.
- Advanced engineering degree or MBA.
