We are seeking a Deployment Specialist to support the end-to-end deployment process of Cashless ATM terminals used by cannabis dispensaries and merchants nationwide. This role serves as a critical operational bridge between our Miami headquarters and our backend deployment team, helping ensure accurate setup, successful activations, and exceptional merchant experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Frontend Deployment (Primary Responsibility β Miami HQ)
- Program and configure payment terminals according to processor specifications and approved merchant setup forms.
- Perform firmware updates, network configuration, and gateway integrations on devices.
- Test terminals to ensure successful transactions prior to shipment.
- Package and ship terminals, peripherals, and accessories with high accuracy and quality standards.
- Coordinate shipping logistics, generate tracking labels, and confirm merchant delivery.
- Manage broken or defective terminal returns, including coordination with suppliers and documentation tracking.
Backend Deployment Coordination
- Prepare and submit complete backend deployment requests, including merchant setup details, terminal serial numbers, and processor/gateway information.
- Validate backend readiness prior to activation by confirming merchant account creation, terminal assignments, and configuration completion.Coordinate timing between frontend shipment and backend activation.Identify and escalate backend discrepancies or errors to deployment leadership.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Submissions teams to verify merchant setup accuracy before deployment.Coordinate with Technical Support and Customer Success during activation and early-stage troubleshooting.
- Serve as the Miami deployment point of contact for backend coordination.Maintain deployment records, serial numbers, activation statuses, shipping information, and deployment notes within internal systems.
Inventory Management
- Track inventory of terminals, SIM cards, cables, and accessories.Reconcile inbound, deployed, and returned inventory.
- Escalate inventory discrepancies or shortages to management.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant deployment workspace.
Compliance, Quality & Documentation
- Follow PCI DSS and internal security protocols when handling payment devices and merchant data.
- Maintain accurate deployment documentation and serial logs.
- Adhere to established deployment procedures and standard operating processes.
- Participate in ongoing training related to processors, terminals, deployment systems, and payment technologies.

This position is fully onsite in our Miami headquarters. Occasional evening and weekend on-call coverage may be required to support merchant activations and deployment operations.
