Summary

Under general supervision, responsible for coordination of all materials, services and records necessary to support construction and maintenance.

What You'll Do

  • Responsible for ordering materials, equipment and services and requested by maintenance and construction crews.
  • Responsible for communicating delivery times to maintenance and construction crews.
  • Responsible for arranging the pick-up of materials or equipment when the use of the material of equipment is no longer required.
  • Responsible for arranging the servicing of rental equipment used in the field.
  • When the requested materials or equipment are not available, is responsible for determining appropriate substitute materials or equipment and conferring with construction and maintenance crews to get their approval of the substitute.
  • Responsible for determining alternate suppliers when a primary supplier is unable to meet delivery terms or when primary supplier has not been performing to expectation.
  • Analyzes and files confidential contracts and purchase orders pertaining to construction and maintenance materials, services & equipment.
  • Responsible for filing order slips and field delivery tickets created in association with construction and maintenance materials, services and equipment.
  • Responsible for approving invoices and clearing discrepancies associated with invoices and clearing discrepancies associated with invoices generated by vendors is association with construction and maintenance requests.
  • Responsible for data input required to generate management reports. Other AD HOC reporting as requested.
  • Responsible for minimal purchasing duties using an SRP purchasing credit card and occasionally the CAPS purchasing system.
  • Provides support to division design, inspection and or construction schedulers.
  • Prepares and submits forms to municipalities for approval for right-of-way closures and performs other duties as assigned.

Education

A high school diploma, GED, or equivalent is required.

Minimum of 15 college credits (100 ) related to the position from an accredited institution is preferred.

Experience

Minimum 3 years of relevant experience is required. Qualifying experience may include work as a Trades Helper, Truck Driver, Material Handler, or Equipment Operator within an electric construction and maintenance (C/M) environment, or other experience directly applicable to the job’s requirements.

Additional Requirements And Qualifications

Maybe called in for storm emergencies. Responsible for protecting proprietary and confidential information, both internal and external.

Testing and Certifications

Must possess the appropriate valid Arizona driver’s license.

Hybrid Workplace

SRP currently offers a hybrid workplace, which allows employees whose jobs can be performed remotely, and who have sufficient technical capability, to telework up to three days per week. Although teleworking is available, all employees must live and work in Arizona.
