Responsibilities
Under the general supervision of the Assistant HR Director, the Recruiter serves as the primary point of contact for filling assigned job openings. This role involves close collaboration with department directors and hiring managers to understand staffing needs, develop job postings, and source qualified candidates. Key responsibilities include advertising vacancies, screening applicants, conducting interviews, and presenting job opportunities in a compelling and informative manner. The Recruiter also supports onboarding efforts and ensures a positive candidate experience throughout the hiring process.
In addition to day-to-day recruitment activities, the Recruiter develops strategic hiring plans by analyzing recruitment effectiveness, researching market trends, and identifying innovative sourcing methods. The role requires building and maintaining strong relationships with internal stakeholders, candidates, and external partners such as industry associations. The Recruiter also ensures compliance with the SRPMIC Preference Policy, working closely with Community Employment and HR divisions to support community hiring initiatives, background checks, and classification processes. This position plays a vital role in aligning recruitment efforts with organizational goals and community values.
Qualifications
- Education & Experience – Associates degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or other closely related field is preferred. Three (3) years’ experience in recruiting, including experience in selecting professional level positions.
