Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled, patient-focused Optician who brings both technical proficiency and an eye for eyewear styling to our practice. In this role, you will guide patients through each step of the eyewear selection and dispensing process. You will interpret prescriptions, educate patients on tailored lens technologies and materials, and perform precise measurements.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist patients with styling and selecting frames and lens options based on doctor recommendations and personal preferences.
- Interpret prescriptions provided by the optometrist to recommend precise optical solutions.
- Take accurate facial measurements to ensure optimal lens fit.
- Perform custom eyewear adjustments, fittings, and basic repairs.
- Maintain frame inventory displays and coordinate with optical laboratories for timely order processing.
- Educate patients on lens treatments, contact lenses, and proper eyewear maintenance.
Qualifications
- Strong background in retail sales, customer service, or hospitality.
- Exceptional communication skills with a polished, friendly, and professional telephone demeanor.
- Excellent organizational abilities and multitask efficiency in a fast-paced environment.
- High attention to detail regarding patient data, scheduling, and precise measurements.
- No prior optical experience required; complete on-the-job optical training is provided.
