Duties
- Diagnose and repair sewing machine malfunctions using detailed schematics and technical manuals
- Perform routine maintenance and preventative care on diverse sewing equipment to minimize downtime
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic issues affecting machine performance
- Install new sewing machines and upgrade existing systems in accordance with safety standards
- Use hand tools, multi-meter, power tools, and ladder access for repairs, adjustments, and installations
- Interpret electrical wiring diagrams and mechanical schematics to identify issues accurately
- Conduct field service visits to client sites for on-site repairs, installations, and troubleshooting support
- Maintain detailed service logs, repair records, and inventory of replacement parts
Skills
- Strong understanding of schematics, electrical work, plumbing, HVAC systems, and refrigeration principles relevant to machinery operation
- Proficiency with ladder use for accessing elevated or hard-to-reach components safely
- Experience with appliance repair, installation, and maintenance in industrial settings
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and equipment repair techniques
- Knowledge of maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) practices within manufacturing environments
- Ability to operate company vehicles such as box trucks for delivery or service calls
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with clients during field service visits
- Familiarity with assembly processes and equipment troubleshooting in a manufacturing context
- Experience working with electrical systems, electrical experience preferred for diagnosing complex issues
- Background in appliance or machinery repair combined with service technician experience is highly desirable
