Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to support office operations and assist in managing the Maker Space.
This part-time, intermittent position offers a dynamic opportunity to engage with STEM-related activities and contribute to a creative, hands-on learning environment.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities & Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Utilize and maintain Maker Space equipment, including 3D printers, laser cutters, and robotics kits.
- Maintain and organize inventory: catalog, track, and store parts and materials.
- Organize items in bins and shelves within the storage closet.
- Support marketing efforts to promote Maker Space activities and resources.
- Assist with event setup and table management for on-campus and community STEM events (as schedule allows).
- Perform general office tasks, including ordering supplies and supporting daily operations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of people with a variety of abilities and backgrounds, to maintain good working relationships across the College.
- Ability to work with all groups from a variety of academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, and with community college students, faculty, and staff, including those with disabilities.
Minimum qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Familiarity with 3D printing, laser cutting, and robotics.
