Responsibilities:
- Greet and interact with customers in a friendly and professional manner
- Take drink orders and serve beverages promptly
- Prepare and serve a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area
- Handle cash transactions and process payments accurately
- Monitor customer alcohol consumption and prevent over-intoxication
- Provide recommendations on drink selections based on customer preferences
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders for customers
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations
Skills:
- Strong hospitality skills to provide excellent customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in using Aloha POS or similar point-of-sale systems
- Basic math skills for calculating bills, making change, and handling cash transactions
- Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks and ensure timely service
- Knowledge of catering procedures for handling large events or parties
- Familiarity with food handling regulations to ensure food safety standards are met
- Sales skills to upsell menu items and promote specials or promotions
- Previous experience working in a restaurant or bar setting is preferred
