- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited College or university

- Knowledge of special education-related laws and regulations
- Knowledge of neuromuscular treatment, sensory integration, therapeutic exercise, and approaches for the pediatric population
- Knowledge and understanding of Occupational Therapy Practice and Framework

- Participate in Child Find activities to identify students who may require occupational therapy services
- Conduct screenings and comprehensive evaluations in areas including fine motor skills, sensory processing, visual-motor integration, and activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Administer and interpret standardized and non-standardized assessments to determine eligibility and service needs
- Assess the need for assistive technology, adaptive equipment, and environmental modifications
- Analyze evaluation data and prepare written reports with educationally relevant recommendations
- Participate in IEP team meetings and present evaluation results clearly to staff and families
- Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with IEP goals and service minutes
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans targeting fine motor, sensory, self-care, and school participation skills
- Support student access to curriculum and participation in school routines and environments
- Address sensory regulation, motor planning, and functional performance needs impacting learning
- Monitor student progress and adjust interventions based on data and student response
- Utilize evidence-based practices aligned to the Occupational Therapy Practice Framework
- Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and related service providers to support student success
- Provide consultation on classroom strategies, accommodations, and environmental supports
- Train staff on positioning, sensory strategies, adaptive equipment, and therapeutic techniques
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding progress and strategies for home carryover
- Participate as an active member of multidisciplinary teams, including IEP and problem-solving teams
- Support implementation of inclusive practices and access within general education settings
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation of evaluations, service logs, progress notes, and reports
- Develop measurable, educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives
- Ensure compliance with IDEA, state regulations, and district policies
- Complete required Medicaid billing/documentation, when applicable
- Adhere to all timelines for evaluations, IEPs, and progress reporting
- Maintain current licensure and professional competencies
- Participate in professional development and apply new learning to practice
- Demonstrate ethical and professional behavior consistent with district and OT standards
- Maintain confidentiality of student information
