Duties
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house staff, including servers, hostesses, and bartenders to ensure smooth restaurant operations
- Oversee food preparation and presentation standards to guarantee quality and consistency
- Manage POS systems such as Toast for accurate order processing and cash handling
- Monitor inventory control to maintain appropriate stock levels and reduce waste
- Train staff on food safety protocols, customer service excellence, and operational procedures
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and special requests professionally to enhance guest experience
- Oversee shift management, ensuring proper staffing levels during peak hours and efficient workflow
- Conduct interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and ongoing training of team members
- Assist with budgeting, labor scheduling, and cost control measures for the front-of-house operations
- Collaborate with kitchen management to coordinate food production and ensure timely service
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining area in compliance with health regulations
- Lead initiatives in hospitality management to foster a welcoming environment for guests
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or food service management roles with supervising responsibilities
- Strong knowledge of Toast POS; cash handling experience required
- Experience in fine dining or banquet settings preferred
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality excellence
- Ability to manage shift schedules efficiently while maintaining high standards of food safety and cleanliness
- Familiarity with food industry regulations and safety standards
- Previous experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management is advantageous
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interview candidates and conduct staff training sessions
