About the Role: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to manage the complex daily financial operations of our organization. This is a very flexible position designed for an independent self-starter who excels at juggling multiple accounts and business types. You will be responsible for maintaining the financial health of diverse operations, including multiple physical buildings and restaurant locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Transaction Management: Accurately categorize and continuously reconcile daily transactions across multiple bank accounts and credit cards.
- Entity Management: Maintain distinct and organized books for multiple buildings and restaurant operations, ensuring all income and expenses are tracked to the correct entity.
- Financial Reporting: Generate monthly clear, accurate, and timely financial reports (P&L, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow) for management review.
- Record Keeping: Maintain a pristine, highly organized digital and paper filing system for all financial documents, receipts, and records.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education & Experience: An Associate's degree in Accounting, Business, or a related field with 5 years of relevant experience, OR a Bachelor's degree with 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Software Proficiency: Deep expertise in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is an absolute must.
- Platform Experience: Must be highly comfortable navigating and utilizing the Google Workspace platform (Drive, Docs, Sheets, etc.).
- Spreadsheet Mastery: Advanced skills in building, maintaining, and analyzing complex spreadsheets.
- Organization: Exceptional organizational skills with a proven track record of managing multifaceted financials without dropping the ball.
- Communication: Clear, concise communication skills for collaborating on financial health and reporting.
