Accountant / Bookkeeper
Baseballism is seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Accountant / Bookkeeper to join our dynamic finance team. Founded as an entrepreneurial company, we give our team members real autonomy and the opportunity to master their craft while contributing to a fast-growing lifestyle apparel brand.
In this role, you’ll play a critical part in maintaining accurate financial records, supporting strategic decision-making, and ensuring the financial health of a high-growth business.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage day-to-day bookkeeping tasks, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance using QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
• Process accounts payable and receivable efficiently while maintaining strong vendor and customer relationships.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow reports in accordance with GAAP.
• Assist with payroll processing and related tax filings to ensure full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
• Support budgeting processes and provide clear, insightful financial reporting to leadership.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all transactions and uphold strong internal controls and audit standards.
Requirements
• Proven experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, or Sage (Quicken experience is a plus).
• Strong understanding of GAAP, double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and general ledger reconciliation.
• Solid experience with accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing.
• Knowledge of corporate accounting principles (familiarity with governmental or non-profit accounting is a plus).
• Excellent organizational skills with strong attention to detail and 10-key proficiency.
• Ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate findings clearly.
• High-energy, entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for accuracy and ownership.
