Job Summary:
We are seeking a high-performing, strategic Marketing Director to lead our marketing team and drive integrated, data-informed marketing initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that support sales growth, customer engagement, and brand strength while collaborating closely with key internal partners including Sales, IT, Purchasing & Replenishment, Events & Education, and Store Merchandising & Operations.
The ideal candidate is an experienced marketing leader with a proven ability to manage and inspire teams, align stakeholders across departments, and leverage Salesforce Marketing Cloud to deliver measurable business outcomes.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Leadership & Team Development
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high performing marketing team, fostering a culture of accountability, creativity, and continuous improvement.
- Guide professional development and succession planning within the marketing department.
Strategy & Execution
- Help define and articulate company branding and develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee campaign planning, execution, and performance measurement across multiple channels (email, digital, promotions, events, and retail support).
- Balance long-term brand strategy with short-term revenue-driving initiatives.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner closely with Purchasing to support product launches, promotions, and merchandising initiatives.
- Collaborate with Events & Education to promote training programs, live events, and educational content.
- Work with Sales leadership to align marketing efforts with field needs, pipeline development, and customer engagement.
- Coordinate with Store Operations to ensure marketing initiatives are operationally feasible and effectively executed in-store.
- Partner with IT to support marketing technology, data integration, and system enhancements.
Marketing Technology & Analytics
- Lead the use and optimization of Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including audience segmentation, journey building, and automation.
- Use data and analytics to evaluate campaign effectiveness, customer behavior, and ROI.
Required Education/Skills/Abilities:
Required
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
- 7 years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing marketing teams, managing vendors, and collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders.
- Expert-level proficiency in Salesforce Marketing Cloud and proven experience in B2B and B2C commerce marketing.
Preferred
- Experience in retail, distribution, or multi-location environments.
- Strong understanding of customer lifecycle marketing and omnichannel campaigns.
- Change management experience within marketing or digital transformation initiatives.
