Director of Special Education
Sallisaw Public Schools is seeking a highly qualified and student-centered professional to serve as Director of Special Education. Qualifications:
- Valid Oklahoma administrator certification.
- Master's degree in education, special education, educational leadership, or related field.
- Experience in special education and educational leadership preferred.
- Knowledge of IDEA, Oklahoma Special Education policies, Edplan, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities Include:
- Oversee district special education services and programs.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state special education regulations.
- Support principals, teachers, and staff in implementing quality special education services.
- Coordinate evaluations, IEP processes, and required reporting.
- Manage special education budgets, grants, and program resources.
