Job Summary
The Electrical Superintendent is responsible for overseeing and managing electrical construction projects from start to finish. They are responsible for developing project schedules, managing costs, supervising electricians and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and maintaining strong communication with project stakeholders. They must have extensive experience in electrical construction, a strong leadership presence, and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. This position is 100% travel based.
Duties/Responsibilities
Required Skills/Abilities:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of a recognized apprenticeship program
Valid Journeyman Electrician license
Minimum of 1 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician and 6 years in management role
Proven experience in commercial, industrial, and residential electrical work
Physical Requirements
The employee may be required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, lift, carry, pull, grasp, climb, crawl, crouch, sit or bend over for periods without relief. The employee must be able to lift, carry and move up to 50 pounds as needed. Employees in this position must be able to climb ladders and stairs to access platforms and scaffolds, as well as walk around indoor and outdoor job sites with distances up to one mile on uneven, paved, gravel, dirt, or sandy surfaces. Employees must be able to work on elevated platforms, scaffolds, and landings. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Travel Requirements
This position requires regular travel to various job sites. The candidate must be flexible and willing to travel as necessary to oversee project progress and ensure safety and quality standards are met.

Duties/Responsibilities
- Develops a schedule and cost-effective plan for completion of an assigned project.
- Approves timecards and requests for time off.
- Supervises each contractor and subcontractor to ensure that work meets quality standards and adheres to specifications.
- Schedules and coordinates projects in logical steps and budgets the time necessary to meet each deadline.
- Plans, coordinates, organizes, oversees, and directs activities regarding the construction and maintenance of assigned structures, facilities, and systems.
- Communicates and enforces safety standards and guidelines are followed on the jobsite and that all safety codes are met in construction.
- Manages and leads actions that are necessary due to delays, bad weather, or emergencies at construction sites.
- Develops and maintains good working relationships with a variety of people, including owners, managers, designers, supervisors, tradespersons, and craft workers.
- Collaborates with other staff to create preconstruction estimates and budgets for materials and labor.
- Coordinates and schedules the work activities of tradespeople, professionals, and laborers, communicating to and via project foreperson to deliver instructions and project assignments as appropriate.
- Regularly inspects work for quality and timeliness; prepares and provides progress reports to owners and architects; makes recommendations for necessary modifications.
- Ensures specifications and regulations outlined in architectural and engineering plans are followed.
- Monitors budget throughout the project and communicates variances as they occur.
- Maintains records related to costs and inventory.
- Addresses any safety violations or other deficiencies.
- Collaborates with subcontractors to answer questions and clarify procedures.
- Trains and oversees all electrical employees.
- Occasionally perform hands-on electrical tasks as needed to support the team.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
