The AM Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing breakfast and lunch service while completing daily food production and prep assignments. This position plays an important role in setting the kitchen up for successful daily operations.
The ideal candidate is dependable, organized, works with a sense of urgency, and can follow established recipes, prep lists, and standards with limited supervision.
Essential Responsibilities-
Set up and maintain assigned stations for breakfast and lunch service

Prepare and execute menu items according to established recipes, portions, and presentation standards

Complete assigned daily prep and production lists accurately and efficiently

Prepare proteins, vegetables, sauces, dressings, and other menu components
-
Maintain proper mise en place and communicate product or prep needs to culinary leadership

Follow proper food handling, labeling, dating, cooling, and storage procedures
-
Maintain consistent food quality and proper temperatures

Keep workstations, equipment, coolers, and storage areas clean and organized
-
Minimize waste through proper preparation, portioning, and product rotation

Assist other cooks and stations during service as needed

Assist with banquet and special-event production when required

Ensure assigned areas are stocked, organized, and prepared for the following shift

Follow all sanitation, safety, uniform, and professional standards

Previous professional kitchen or line cook experience preferred

Basic understanding of professional cooking techniques

Strong knife skills and ability to safely operate kitchen equipment

Ability to follow standardized recipes and written prep lists

Strong organization and time-management skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a culinary team

Dependable attendance and punctuality

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Ability to stand for extended periods and safely lift up to 50 pounds

Previous breakfast or lunch line experience

Experience in a country club, hotel, restaurant, or similar culinary operation

Familiarity with scratch cooking and standardized recipes
