POSITION SUMMARY
Position Summary:
This position provides centralized scheduling of outpatient services as well as some inpatient services utilizing the process of diagnosis, appropriate planning and education according to professional standards, state regulations and in keeping with the health center’s mission. The position is responsible for the scheduling of outpatient services for: Radiology, NICL, Respiratory Therapy, Sleep Lab, Special Procedures, PAS, Surgery (inpatient and outpatient), Ambulatory Services, Dietary Instruction, Outpatient Oncology, Birth Center, Laboratory, and some Cardiovascular Services. This is done by coordinating/scheduling all services ordered from the physicians with the appropriate departments using Meditech Scheduling software, entering insurance information and transcribing/scanning physician orders as needed. Centralized Patient Scheduling schedules for patients of all ages.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Education
Graduation from an accredited registered nursing or licensed pratical nursing program
Minimum Experience
Three years recent clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred
Required Registration/License/Certification
Current Kansas RN or LPN license
