AFFILIATE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER

POSITION SUMMARY
Administratively responsible for the affiliate hospital overall financial management which includes preparation of the annual financial plan, cash and investment management, operational financial reporting and strategic planning. Plans, organizes, and directs all aspects of the revenue cycle, accounting, patient financial services, medical records, and decision support functions of the hospital.

Clearly assigns responsibilities and tasks to assigned department directors and others, establishes effective controls, ensures that necessary resources and authority are available, and monitors progress to increase efficiency and enhanced outcomes.

STEWARDSHIP
Demonstrates responsibility for containment of health center costs and conservation of supplies, equipment, and human resources by developing financial plans and monitoring expenses, benchmark/productivity standards; staffing levels/rations to volume; and alignment of departmental goals and operations with best practices and corporate strategies.
Develops and implements departmental policies and procedures; and ensures compliance with SRHC policies and procedures, federal/state rules and regulations, accreditation standards, and SRHC Code of Conduct.
Maintains personal professional growth and development through active participation in professional affiliations, attendance at seminars and conferences, continuing education programs, and profession networking opportunities.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

MINIMUM EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Accounting, Business, Healthcare Administration, or related field

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE
Five years accounting experience
