Position Title: Key Account Sales Executive

Location: Wixom, Michigan

Compensation: $120,000–$140,000 Base Bonus Structure

Travel: 30–50% across North America

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Drive revenue growth for laser cutting and laser welding product lines through strategic business development and account management
  • Identify and develop opportunities with OEMs, machine builders, system integrators, and end users
  • Build territory sales strategies aligned with company growth objectives
  • Manage the full sales cycle including prospecting, technical discussions, proposal development, and contract negotiation
  • Develop strong relationships within industries such as automotive, aerospace, and general manufacturing


Key Account Management

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for strategic customers and long-term partners
  • Build trusted customer relationships focused on long-term growth and customer success
  • Understand customer manufacturing processes and identify opportunities for process optimization
  • Collaborate internally with engineering, applications, and service teams to ensure successful project execution


Technical Sales Support

  • Deliver technical presentations, product demonstrations, and application discussions
  • Support customer trials and process validation efforts alongside applications engineering teams
  • Provide technical guidance related to laser cutting, welding optimization, and system integration
  • Stay current on emerging technologies and competitive solutions within laser material processing


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical discipline (or equivalent technical experience)
  • 5 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or business development within industrial laser technologies or advanced manufacturing
  • Strong understanding of laser material processing technologies including laser cutting and laser welding
  • Proven track record of developing new business and managing strategic customer accounts
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel throughout North America (30–50%)


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with laser beam delivery systems, processing heads, or laser process monitoring technologies
  • Knowledge of industrial automation, robotics integration, CNC systems, or manufacturing automation
  • Experience working with automotive OEMs, Tier suppliers, machine builders, or system integrators
  • Familiarity with fiber laser manufacturers and related technologies
  • Additional language skills such as Spanish or German are a plus


Compensation & Benefits

Base Salary: $120,000–$140,000

Bonus Structure: Performance-based bonus opportunity
