What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fitter position at Salem Welding & Supply Co.?
Fitter needed in Northern Columbiana County.
**This is not a welding position**
-3 years of experience needed.
-Proficient in reading and interpreting all blue prints (standard & metric).
-Extensive layout, fitting, building experience a must in both steel plate and structural.
-Prep & process materials, making parts – using a wide variety of machinery, saws, drills, ironworker, shear, press brake, rolls, plasma torch & various hand tools.
-Strong math and problem solving skills.
-One should possess strong work ethics, be punctual, dependable and take pride in ones work.
-Must be motivated, open to instruction, and have a willingness to learn.
-Job shop, jig work is not used.
-Heavy metal working, must be able to lift 50lbs.
-Mechanically inclined and common sense required!
-Experience with overhead cranes and tow motors.
-Day shift Monday- Thursday(6 a.m.-4:30 p.m.)
