Position: Full Time RN Circulator
Department: Surgery
Shift: Varies, 10 hour shift
PURPOSE
The Perioperative Services Staff RN is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient/family centered care in the operating room and other areas of Perioperative Services for all patient populations. The Perioperative Services Staff RN supports the mission, vision, and values of the organization.
This position may also require the employee to perform other related duties and activities as assigned by Supervision.
Whenever the activity in the Perioperative Services Department decreases to the level that the Perioperative Service staff RN is not needed to provide direct patient care or oversight, he/she will House Float until their services are required in Perioperative Services.
QUALIFICATIONS
- BLS, ACLS, PALS
- Circulating experience required. Circulator call group.
- Will require PACU occasionally.
- Currently certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Basic Life Support.
- Competent to function as a House Float.
- Must possess a current license as a Registered Nurse from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support required for PACU only.
- Can demonstrate knowledge regarding the nursing process and its application by current work experience in health care or recent graduate from a professional school of nursing (within last 12 months).
NOTE: Competencies and experience required for specialty areas.
