What are the responsibilities and job description for the FOOD & BEVERAGE SERVICE MEMBER position at Salem Hills Golf Club?
Salem Hills Golf Club is seeking an energetic, dependable, and guest-focused Food & Beverage Service Member to support all areas of our food and beverage operation. This versatile team member will be cross trained to work in our restaurant (The Grille Room), Banquet Events, and quick service counter (Grab & Go). Primary responsibilities include greeting patrons, taking and fulfilling food and beverage orders, stocking the Grab and Go quick grab items. The ideal candidate enjoys variety, works well in a fast-paced environment, and is willing to step in wherever needed to help create an exceptional guest experience. You will be working with our Dining and Banquet Manager to provide high quality customer service.
- Must be reliable, hard-working and understand their value to the total team
- Provide friendly and professional service to guests in all food and beverage areas
- Communicate effectively with all team members
- Take food and beverage orders, serve guests, and process payments.
- Prepare and stock Grab & Go food and beverage items
- Set up, serve, and break down banquet and special events
- Assist with beverage cart and beverage service operations as needed
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of dining, banquet, and service areas
- Restock supplies and assist with opening and closing duties
- Follow all food safety, sanitation, and alcohol service guidelines
- Work collaboratively with managers and team members to ensure smooth daily operations
- Float between departments and cover shifts as business needs require
- Ability to show up to work on time on your scheduled workdays in proper uniform
- Understand and respect the policies, procedures and standards of the organization
- Ability to read, listen, speak, instruct and actively communicate with the rest of the team
- Ability to follow direction including verbal, visual and written
- Assisting with stocking and setting up the food and beverage stations
- Respect co-workers and guests alike
PHYSICAL EXPECTATIONS
- Able to stand and work on your feet, bend, lift and reach overhead. Using hands and arms in handling, installing, positioning, and moving materials, and manipulating things
- Performing physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
- Maintain kitchen work areas, equipment, and utensils in clean and orderly condition
- Demonstrate good personal hygiene as well as cleaning and sanitizing skills
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
- Alcohol service certification is a plus (or willingness to obtain).
- A minimum of two years of bartending and/or food serving experience is preferred.
