Emergency Department Registrar

Position Type: Full Time, 40 hours/week
Schedule: 6:00 am start time, various days

Your role with us
As a Registrar in the Emergency Department at Salem Health, you will courteously admit and register all patients, accurately capturing their demographic, insurance, and financial information in the electronic medical record system. You’ll verify insurance eligibility, obtain necessary authorizations, manage registration errors, and provide exceptional customer service while adhering to regulatory and workflow standards, all while supporting continuous improvement through Lean principles and team collaboration.

Required qualifications

• 1 year of experience working in a fast-paced customer service environment that included substantial use of data entry and keyboard skills.
• Intermediate level of proficiency with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel).

Additional information

• Successful candidate will have experience in a health care administrative or clerical environment, including experience with EPIC or other electronic medical record (EMR) system.
