Job Description: IPC Trainer
Position Summary:
The IPC Trainer is responsible for providing instruction, certification, and guidance in accordance with IPC standards for electronic assembly and quality assurance. This role ensures that employees are properly trained to perform work to industry-recognized standards, thereby supporting product quality, compliance, and operational excellence.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain training materials, presentations, and practical exercises in alignment with IPC requirements.
- Administer written and practical assessments to evaluate participant knowledge and skills.
- Maintain accurate documentation of certifications, recertifications, and training activities.
- Ensure training content is updated in accordance with revisions to IPC standards.
- Provide ongoing support, coaching, and technical expertise to employees on soldering, rework, assembly, and inspection processes.
- Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to identify skill gaps and implement appropriate training solutions.
- Promote adherence to quality and workmanship standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
Qualifications:
- Certified IPC Trainer (CIT) or Master IPC Trainer (MIT) in one or more IPC standards.
- Prior experience in electronics manufacturing, assembly, or quality assurance.
- Strong knowledge of soldering techniques, PCB assembly, rework, and inspection practices.
- Excellent communication, instructional, and organizational skills.
- Ability to effectively train individuals at varying levels of experience.
- Proficiency with basic computer applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in aerospace, defense, or high-reliability manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Bilingual communication skills may be an asset, depending on workforce needs
