Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their orders in a friendly, professional manner
- Take food and beverage orders accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS
- Handle cash transactions efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Prepare simple food items with attention to quality, safety, and sanitation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, counters, and food prep stations through bussing and sanitation practices
- Support food safety protocols by following proper food handling procedures and adhering to health regulations
- Assist with food preparation tasks as needed to ensure timely service in a quick service or fast food restaurant setting
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve guests promptly while maintaining high standards of service
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth restaurant operations and excellent customer satisfaction
Experience
- Previous experience in food service, retail, grocery store, or hospitality environments is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm and a positive attitude!
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is advantageous but training will be provided
- Experience in cashiering, serving, or food handling roles demonstrates strong customer service skills and attention to detail
- Basic math skills are essential for cash handling, retail math calculations, and order accuracy
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and kitchen experience will help you excel in this role
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- A proactive approach to upselling menu items and enhancing guest experiences is highly desirable
