Under direction from the Jewelry Selling Manager, the Jewelry Operations Associate is responsible for supporting all operational functions of the Jewelry Department, including but not limited to processing new merchandise, processing return to vendor and transfer transactions, processing repairs, organizing trunk shows, performing daily case counts and inventory maintenance, and conducting special communications with the Corporate Buying Team.

Compensation for this role varies by geographic location. The listed range reflects multiple markets, including higher-cost areas. Actual starting pay will be determined based on work location, experience, and other job-related factors.

- Ability to quickly learn systems, jewelry standards, and IT applications
- Bachelor's degree, or equivalent experience
- Receive, verify, and properly book all jewelry in accordance with company standards (photocopy all fine jewelry, reconcile all PO issues with the buying office)
- Ensure all merchandise is entered into the case count system after it has been received
- Retrieve and process all merchandise to be returned to the vendor or transferred in accordance with company standards (properly pack merchandise, retrieve a tracking number for all outbound shipments)
- Maintain a repair log, check merchandise in/out and track all repairs sent to the vendor or local shop
- Submit repair invoices with proper documentation to Accounts Payable
- Receive all merchandise for trunk shows and verify the number and condition of the pieces against the manifest list
- Assist in trunk show set-up/take-down, compile results and recap the trunk show business
- Ensure case counts are completed and all discrepancies are reconciled
- Reticket all merchandise without tickets (returns or anything with a non-readable tag)
- Prepare all special order requests and submit to buyers
- Assist Selling Manager and associates on the selling floor as necessary
- Ensure the department is stocked with supplies
- Other store initiatives as assigned by management
- Ad hoc responsibilities as needed
