Beautician in Senior Suites
Part-time (4-5 hours/week). Day shifts.
The beautician provides professional hair, grooming, and personal appearance services to residents of Senior Suites in a safe, respectful, and compassionate manner. This role supports residents’ dignity, self-esteem, hygiene, and overall quality of life while adhering to infection control, safety, and regulatory standards.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Hold a current cosmetologist license.
- Current ND driver’s license.
- Must have the ability to read, write, and follow oral and written directions.
- Able to work effectively with team members, supervisors, residents, and their families to accomplish team goals.
- Ability to plan, organize, and perform job-associated tasks to completion with little or no oversight from supervisor.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS, ROLES, AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Schedule all resident appointments.
- Provides haircare services including haircuts, washes, styles, perms, colors, and beard trims.
- Manage and track supplies and inventory.
- Manage and track tools and equipment.
- Report daily accounting totals to the Director.
- Maintains a clean and welcoming environment. Ensures all tools and equipment are cleaned and disinfected after each use.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Must be able to manage time independently.
- Responsible for participating in and supporting the resident-centered activity program.
- Goes to various suppliers and purchases needed supplies and/or equipment.
- Maintains good working relationships with co-workers.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
