St. Vincent Hospital is a 290‑bed facility known for providing comprehensive medical and psychiatric services to the diverse communities of Central Massachusetts. Our Behavioral Health Department is committed to delivering patient‑centered, evidence‑based care in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult behavioral health patients.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, therapists, nursing staff, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care.
- Document clinical findings, treatment plans, and follow‑up care in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.
- Deliver crisis intervention and support as needed in an inpatient psychiatric setting.
- Provide coverage on a PRN basis, including potential weekends, evenings, or holidays depending on department needs.
Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current Massachusetts APRN license with prescriptive authority.
- Board Certification as a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP‑BC).
- Minimum 1–2 years of psychiatric clinical experience preferred; inpatient experience strongly valued.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and clinical decision‑making skills.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating within a multidisciplinary team.
