The Public Safety Department at Saint Vincent College currently has an opening for an Unarmed Public Safety Officer. This is a full-time position with benefits. This position will detect and prevent crime, enforces all Saint Vincent rules and regulations, enforces all Pennsylvania laws, preserves the peace and protects life and property within his/her span of control.
Required Qualifications
Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. Pennsylvania Act 235, Lethal Weapons Training or equivalent.

Required Qualifications

Experience
- At least one year of experience in security or law enforcement.
- Experience working with the general public is highly desirable.
- Ability to pass medical, psychological screening and extensive background investigation.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to remain calm under stressful conditions.
- Knowledge of first aid techniques.
- Knowledge of Microsoft computer applications and the ability to type a minimum of 20 words per minute.
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Automatic External Defibrillator, First Aid, ASP Baton, and Pepper Spray certification are highly desirable.
- Valid PA driver’s license.
