Saint Vincent College seeks applications for an Assistant Director of Facilities, Capital Management, and Planning. This is a full-time position with benefits. The position will be the primary operational liaison between the College/Seminary/Monastery community and the Department and in the Directors’ absence will be required to maintain the Department's business. This person will be required to independently assess and respond to daily operational issues as required by the facilities supervisors or other internal/external agencies. This person shall be responsible to the Director of Facilities, Capital Management, and Planning and will assist with various administrative and management functions as required.

Demonstrated technical and managerial ability in the coordination of a variety of middle-management areas encompassing property, finance and personnel areas. Experience in a technical discipline such as engineering, architecture, building, quantity surveying or similar fields are a plus.

Essential duties:
- Acting as the Director's representative, will be responsible for the management of the daily administrative and operational business associated with the Department.
- Assist the Director with the development and maintenance of various capital, construction and operational budgets and initiate the preparation of annual reports and projections.
- Required to plan, estimate, negotiate, execute, and manage various projects through outside contractors as well as staff personnel.
- Responsible for the supervision of managers related to the basic operations. i.e. trades, grounds, and custodial and outside agencies associated with the facility.
- Establish goals, policies and controls for areas of responsibility.
- Performs other job related duties as assigned.
- Must understand and direct how to follow safety precautions and procedures both verbal and written. May occasionally need to lift and /or manipulate heavy objects.
- On call to assist with custodial supervision, events and guest relations.
- Must remain flexible because of constantly changing environment with in zone and outside influences.
- May occasionally operate power equipment related to custodial work.
- Work involves moderate exposure to unusual elements of dirt, biohazards, dust, temperature, fumes, and unpleasant odors, and/or noise.
- Work involves considerable physical activity including lifting, pulling, or pushing objects weighing up to 50 pounds. At times lifting over 50 such as in office moves and unloading trucks.
- Environment may involve some exposure to hazards, such as chemicals, and physical risks that are mitigated by and require following safety rules and precautions, and using MSDS product sheets.
- Must be able to adjust to continual changes in customer base.
