About the Position
St. Philip’s is seeking an experienced, passionate, and collaborative Lower School Co-Teacher to join our teaching team. Co-teachers play an important role in delivering engaging instruction, differentiating learning, and supporting the academic and social-emotional growth of students. Key Responsibilities
- Support the mission of St. Philip’s Episcopal School by delivering high-quality, student-centered instruction
- Collaborate with teaching teams to plan, deliver, and assess instruction in core subjects
- Provide differentiated instruction to support diverse learners
- Create a positive classroom culture using effective behavior management strategies
- Support social-emotional learning and student development
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents and families
- Integrate educational technology to enhance learning experiences
- Maintain accurate academic and communication records
- Supervise students during school activities and assigned duties
- Participate in faculty meetings and collaborative team activities
Qualifications
- Deep respect and passion for working with children
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field
- 3 years of classroom teaching experience (lower school experience preferred)
- Strong instructional and classroom management skills
- Experience differentiating instruction
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to build strong relationships with students and families
- Experience using educational technology and digital learning platforms
- Understanding of child development and best practices in foundational literacy and numeracy instruction.
